Fill in the Blank — HSK 5
Fill-in-the-blank trains something passive reading never does: the reflex to actively pick the right word to use, not just recognize meaning while reading. Questions use real example sentences from HSK 5 vocabulary, blanking exactly the word being studied and offering distractors of similar length so you have to rely on real meaning, not guess by shape.
Sample question
船靠__了。
✓ 岸— The boat docked at the shore.

FAQ
How are the wrong-answer options chosen?
The system prefers distractors with the same number of Chinese characters as the correct answer, drawn from HSK 5 vocabulary, so the exercise tests real understanding rather than guessing by word length.
How is this different from the listening fill-in-the-blank type?
Same question-generation logic (blanking a word in an example sentence), but this type shows the text right away, while listening fill-in-the-blank hides the text and makes you listen to the whole sentence first.
