I almost ruined the dish, but luckily I immediately turned the heat down.
虽然弄得有点儿脏，但是这顿饭的还不错。
Although I made the kitchen a bit messy, the taste of this meal was quite good.
妈妈吃得很开心，她说这是她收到的最好的生日。
Mom ate very happily; she said it was the best birthday gift she had ever received.
