并列复句

Coordinate compound sentences

Explanation

This is a compound sentence with two (or more) clauses that have an equal relationship, adding information to one another. There are two main ways to form it: without a connecting word, or with a connecting word such as '一边...一边...' (while...) or '...也...' (...also...). For example: '我喜欢看电视,弟弟喜欢打球' (I like watching TV, my younger brother likes playing ball) consists of two independent clauses that are nonetheless linked in meaning.
