Reduplicated measure words (AA)
Explanation
This is the phenomenon of reduplicating a measure word (a word for counting units, like "cái, con, quyển" in Vietnamese) in the AA form to mean "every... / every single one is like this / all". For example 天 (tiān, day) reduplicates into 天天 (tiāntiān), meaning "every day / daily", and 顿 (dùn, meal) reduplicates into 顿顿, meaning "every meal".
measure word A + measure word A (exactly repeated), e.g. 家家 (jiājiā), 天天 (tiāntiān).
when you want to emphasize regular repetition or "without exception, every single one", usually functioning as the subject or as an adverbial (an element indicating time, place, or manner) at the beginning of the sentence, e.g. 天天学习 (study every day).
not every measure word can be reduplicated, and those that can are usually monosyllabic; do not arbitrarily reduplicate disyllabic measure words. Also, when you have already used the reduplicated AA form, there is no need to add 每 (měi, every) in front.
