借用量词

Borrowed measure words (借用量词)

Explanation

These are measure words borrowed from nouns or verbs to serve as temporary units of measurement. Example: '一碗汤' (a bowl of soup) borrows from '碗' (bowl), '一脸水' (a face full of water) borrows from '脸' (face). We can also borrow verbs as measure words, such as '切两刀' (cut two strokes) borrowing from '刀' (a cut of the knife), '打一针' (give one shot) borrowing from '针' (a needle prick).
