⋯⋯,以便⋯⋯
⋯ ⋯ , yǐ biàn ⋯ ⋯
以便 (yǐbiàn) - So that, in order to
Explanation
'以便' (yǐbiàn) is a conjunction (a word joining clauses) used to state the purpose of the action in the preceding clause, meaning like 'so as to', 'in order to conveniently', 'for the purpose of' in English.
clause 1 (action/task) + ,以便 yǐbiàn + clause 2 (the purpose to be achieved). 以便 stands at the beginning of the latter clause.
When doing something precisely in order to create favorable conditions for a subsequent purpose. It carries a written, formal tone (used in documents, notices); in more casual speech you can use 好 (hǎo) or 为了 (wèile).
Vietnamese learners often place 以便 at the beginning of the whole sentence (wrong) — it must stand at the beginning of the PURPOSE clause, i.e. the latter clause. Also, don't confuse it with 为了 (wèile): 为了 usually stands at the beginning of the sentence stating the purpose first, whereas 以便 states the purpose in the latter clause.
