Explanation
因……而…… (yīn……ér……) is a fixed construction (固定格式 gùdìng géshì, a ready-made grammatical template) expressing a cause-and-effect relationship, meaning 'because of…… (therefore)……'.
因 (yīn 'because of, due to') + (cause) + 而 (ér 'and thus, therefore') + (the resulting effect/action). For example 因一件小事而快乐 (yīn yī jiàn xiǎoshì ér kuàilè 'be happy because of a small matter').
