Talking About Large Quantities

S + 有 + số lớn + 个/百/千 + N

Use '有' to talk about quantity, combined with large numbers (hundreds, thousands) and the measure word '个' or a specialized measure word. This structure is often used to describe the quantity of an object or thing.

这个学校有一千个学生。

zhègexuéxiàoyǒuqiānxuéshēng

This school has one thousand students.

我的书有几百本。

deshūyǒubǎiběn

I have several hundred books.

Asking the Time or a Point in Time

现在 + 几点/什么时候?

Use '现在' (now) together with '几点' (what time) or '什么时候' (when) to ask about the current time or a specific point in time. The answer usually uses the structure '点' and '分' to indicate hours and minutes.

现在几点?
