Explanation
This is a type of question that offers two or more choices for the other person to pick one answer. There are two main forms. The first uses no connective, simply placing two choices side by side, for example '你坐火车，坐飞机？' (Are you going by train or by plane?). The second uses the structure '是⋯⋯，还是⋯⋯' (is it...or...) to link the two choices, for example '你是坐火车来的，还是坐飞机来的？' (Did you come by train or by plane?). This structure is often used to ask and require the listener to choose one of the stated options.
