小数、分数、百分数、倍数的表示法

Expressing decimals, fractions, percentages, and multiples in Chinese

Explanation

In Chinese, decimals are read by reading each digit after '点' (e.g. 0.3 is read as '零点三'). Fractions use the structure '...分之...' with the denominator first and the numerator after (e.g. 2/3 is '三分之二'). Percentages are expressed with '百分之...' plus the number (e.g. 50% is '百分之五十'). Multiples use '倍' placed after a whole number to indicate how many times greater (e.g. '三倍' means three times). These forms are commonly used in everyday conversation and basic mathematics.
