多项定语

Multiple attributives

Explanation

In Chinese, when a noun has multiple modifiers preceding it, they are arranged in a certain order. Typically the order is: 限定词 (determiner) + 描写性词语 (descriptive word) + 颜色 (color) + 材质 (material) + 范围 (scope) + 名词 (noun). Example: '一条漂亮的红围巾' (a beautiful red scarf), '漂亮' (beautiful) is the descriptive word, '红' (red) is the color. The sentence '那位戴着眼镜的白头发高个子老人' (that tall, white-haired old man wearing glasses) has multiple attributives: '那位' (determiner), '戴着眼镜的' (wearing glasses), '白头发' (white-haired), '高个子' (tall), all modifying '老人' (old man).
