频频 (pín pín)

Explanation

频频 is an adverb used to emphasize an action repeated many times in continuous succession. It is usually placed before a verb to describe a high frequency of that action, with a more formal tone than '常常'. For example '频频点头' (to nod repeatedly) or '频频举杯' (to raise one's glass repeatedly).
