HSK 7
索性
索性 (suǒxìng)
Explanation
'索性' is used when the speaker decides to do something resolutely and boldly, often because the situation is already such that one may as well go all the way and get it over with, without further hesitation. For example: my clothes were already soaked by the rain, so I '索性' just folded up the umbrella and strolled in the rain anyway. This sentence shows that since the clothes were already wet, there was no need to use the umbrella, so it was simpler to just do it.
