Grammar

Wanting to Do Something (using 想/要)

S + 想/要 + V

We use '想' or '要' before a verb to express the wish to do something. '想' expresses a desire or thought; '要' expresses a stronger intention or a need to do something.

我想快快起床。

xiǎngkuàikuàichuáng

I want to get up quickly.

我要找我的手机。

yàozhǎodeshǒu

I want to find my phone.

Doing Something Somewhere

S + 在 + 地点 + V

Use '在' before a location and a verb to indicate an action happening at a certain place.

我在家里找钥匙。

zàijiāzhǎoyàoshi

I'm looking for the keys at home.
