Wanting to go somewhere

S + 想/要 + 去 + 地方

Use this pattern to express a wish or plan to go to a place. 想 is softer than 要. 去 is the main verb of movement, meaning 'to go'.

我想去医院。

xiǎngyuàn

Asking the way from one place to another

从 + 地点A + 到 + 地点B + 怎么走?

This is a very common, basic way to ask for directions. 从 (from) marks the starting point, 到 (to) marks the destination, and 怎么走 means 'how do you get there'.
