Using 并且 to connect two clauses going the same way
Explanation
并且 (bìngqiě) is a conjunction (a word that joins words or clauses), meaning "at the same time, moreover, and also", used to connect two actions or two qualities in the same direction, in which the latter clause adds to / escalates from the former.
Clause 1，+ 并且 (bìngqiě) + Clause 2. 并且 stands at the beginning of the second clause.
when the two clauses have the same subject and the same direction of meaning, and the latter clause states one more thing/feature, for example 讨论了，并且提出了办法 (discussed, and also proposed a method).
并且 connects two clauses in the same direction (adding, escalating); this differs from 但是 (dànshì, but), used when the two clauses are opposite. Do not use 并且 when the two clauses are contrasting in meaning.
并且 is placed at the start of the latter clause, not at the end of the sentence; and the two clauses it connects are usually similar actions/qualities, not used to connect two single nouns (to connect nouns, use 和 or 并).
